How to wake up feeling better

My Daily Question

1. How to wake up feeling better, with motivation, high energy, and more easily? How to get rid of my morning anxiety?

My Daily Attempt To Answer Myself

Possible reasons why am I feeling unwell in the morning:

1. Lack of sleep and/or going to sleep late - as after 11pm

Things to try out:

Setting a fixed time to go to bed - 23:00 is the latest I can stretch.
Setting a reasonable time to wake up - 8 hours of sleep is probably the least my body wishes to get to function well. It means waking up at 7:00.

Problems:
My husband is getting upset if I go to sleep before him, he doesn't have a set routine, although he gets up at 5:00 each day.
How to stay asleep without feeling guilty he had less sleep than I had?
I usually set my husband's clothes and stuff for the day in the morning.
I love waking up early at sunset, but it means to put up with 6 hours' sleep.

Solutions to consider:
Talk to him about my wish to set fixed bedtimes, explain to him the importance of sleep for me, and my wish to improve my life.
Set his things the night before.

2. Snoozing:

It is known to interrupt your sleeping cycle and make you even feel nauseated. From personal experience, I felt better when getting up from bed right away without any delays. It is just a mindset to get fixed upon.

Problems:

I wake up from my husband's alarm at 5:00, and 5 more times until he's out for work.

Solutions to consider:

Use ear tubs? It feels kind of selfish...

3. No set morning routine

Things to try out:

Write down a planned morning list of things to do in a fixed timeline, try to set these actions in the as natural order as possible, try to think what is essential to do first to make you more energized for your other tasks.

Be more realistic about the time consumption - decide on the amount of time for the whole morning routine. For example: starting at 7:00, my goal is to get everything done by 9:00, and plan accordingly.

4. Lack of workout

Things to try out:

Find a fun 10 minute stretch morning workout on youtube that feels easy enough to energize you for the day without exhausting you (I tried morning runs, but it left me with no energy whatsoever).

5. Eating late and close to going to bed

Set a fixed time that after which you just don't eat.

Plan your last meal at 20:00. Try to plan ahead and get everything ready for dinner without delays.

6. Having a stressful environment - like a rushing to work husband who is full of stress in the morning.

Things to try out:

Try waking up after he leaves for work.

Healing music - Try listening to "chakras healing music" - wordless background monotonous music that helps your body and mind tuned to a healing vibration, getting rid of negative emotions and energy.

I prefer to focus on one chakra each time, so find a specific frequency for your chosen chakra for the day - the one you feel is most in need of a boost of healing and attention.

Morning pages - try to write 2-3 pages of your thoughts without any censorship, just spill it out into the notebook. It helps out setting your mind, get yourself focused, release any kind of disturbing thoughts and worries, release blockages, and help open up the creative flow.

Reflection

1. Did I improved my feeling when waking up, had I felt more motivated, higher energized, did it feel more easily done? Did I feel any morning anxiety?

Answer: YES

Yesterday I took very seriously my attempt to fix this feeling of terrible exhaustion. All these ideas were flowing through my mind aimlessly without evolving into action.

My yesterday's insight was "take your questions to yourself very seriously", this pushed me forward to action.

This morning I woke up energized, happy, calm, and motivated.

Actions review:

1. Lack of sleep and/or going to sleep late - as after 11pm

Things I've done:

We ate some fruits after 21:00, not anything heavy.
I went to bed at 21:30 - told my husband I was reading a book, not yet going to sleep. Soon he joined me to read some articles while I read my book.
I set my alarm to 7:00 giving myself more than 8 hours of sleep.
I quietly told him tomorrow I wish to wake up later, that I really needed this, he just nodded.
I got back up for 3 minutes just to set his things for tomorrow as I promised myself.
At 22:30 we both were asleep.
I woke up before my alarm. At 6:20 I was already up.

The problem I did not solve because I did not try my suggested solution:

I woke up several times between 5:00 and 6:00.

Decision - I will not act on this one, it did not bother me that much.

With a background sound of meditation, I started my day more energized and motivated than I remember in a very long time.

This is it for now. I did not realize to action any of the other solutions yet. But, considering it is a process, I will add things little by little every day. this is how habits are built, step by step.
